Ice skating on Björköfjärden and Lidöfjärden, 6 Mars 2004
Ice skating on Björköfjärden and Lidöfjärden outside Vätö with ice skating club SSSK.
The ice area was limited this day. Furthermore the old ice was covered with spots of snow and the recently frozen ice was still to thin. All this made fast skating impossible for more than short distances. But it was a nice day together with nice people.
Is the ice thick enough?
Apparently not.
Bertil Lagerström and Mårten Ajne. Notice the spots of snow that made our path like going through a labyrinth.
Lars Engelbrecht.
Inventor Andreas Wallmark had difficulties with his clap skate construction.

Not thick enough, time to go back.
Going back.

Hoping for better ice on the other side.
The ice was not thick enough here either.
Only one skater had skates with fixed heel this day.
At the end of the day we finally got some fast skating.
